An orthopedic foam collar (neck support) designed for use in situations following a whiplash injury, and is intended for use during the acute pain period. The collar stabilizes the cervical spine, limits movement, reduces the need for muscle work, and creates gentle heating around the neck muscles. By all of these, the use of the collar reduces the level of pain.
The collar is made of foamed polymer material, has a 100% cotton sleeve shell, is minimally weighted, has an orthopedic anatomical structure, and has a recess for the chin.
The collar is made of breathable material and is comfortable against the skin.
User manual
- The collar should be placed around the neck so that the chin is in front, and make sure the collar is snug and supportive, but not too tight.
- The collar should be worn for 50-60 minutes at a time to provide relief from neck tension and pain.
- When used for long periods of time, or at night, the collar tension can be adjusted by loosening or tightening the Velcro according to the sensation.
- It is recommended to remove the collar when you no longer feel neck pain and tension.
- The collar is suitable for use for a period of a few days to several weeks, depending on the doctor's recommendation.
- In addition to resting and wearing the collar, it is recommended to perform gentle stretching and strengthening exercises, which will help speed up recovery, according to the physiotherapist's recommendation.
