Our expert advice
- Use the belt when you need it most: during prolonged standing, long driving or lifting objects. The belt provides immediate support for the lower back and reduces strain on the vertebrae.
- Incorporate light movement throughout the day: even a short walk around the house or a simple breathing exercise will help 'lubricate' the vertebrae and soften the movement.
- A belt is a reminder – not a replacement: The belt reminds the body what a stabilized back feels like. At the same time, it is important to invest in strengthening the core muscles and practicing appropriately over time.
- Make yourself feel more confident: Many people with back pain are afraid to move. The belt provides a sense of stability and security, which encourages movement – which is part of the solution.
